Bogota, D.C., November 10, 2014.Within the framework of the IV Meeting of Accounting Research Experiences held by the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences of the Public Accounting Program of the University of Magdalena from 6 to 8 November this year, the Special Administrative Unit Central Board of Accountants received from the managers of this outstanding study house an important recognition of the work , effort and dedication that during its 58 years of operation has developed for the benefit of the Colombian economy.
Dr. Julio César Acuña González, Director General of the UAE Central Board of Accountants, expressed his commitment to continue working hard to ensure excellence in the exercise of the accounting profession and professional ethics, in strengthening ties of academic cooperation, making strategic alliances with different universities of the country through forums, conversational, working tables among other vocational training activities.
In this academic meeting different topics of discussion and discernment were developed that nurtured the accounting exercise of deans, teachers, students of Public Accounting of different universities of the country and other professionals and legal persons providing this service who attended this area of higher education.
Topics such as: the exercise of the taxpayer's advocacy in Colombia by the Dignitary of the Disciplinary Court of the Central Board of Accountants, Gloria Nancy Jara; The application of the IAS, in the public and private entities of Colombia in the head of the President of the Tribunal, Alvaro Herrera and the specific sanctioning behaviors in the exercise of the Public Accountant by María Victoria Agudelo worthy of this important Tribunal, contributed with the purpose of the meeting: "Accounting as scientific knowledge and circumstantial element in the field of social and economic development"
