Bogota, D.C., December 1, 2014. Dr. Julio Cesar Acuña González, Director General of the Central Board of Accountants was special guest as a speaker at the XXXI Symposium on Fiscal Reviewers: the Forum of Public Accountants, held in Santiago de Cali on July 26, 27 and 28. This academic event was the appropriate scenario for presentation and discussion from a theoretical perspective – practical of the main changes in the professional exercise of the Public Accountant in the performance of accounting, finance, audit and fiscal review, directly related to the implementation of international standards of financial information IFRS either in the application in full SMEs or IFRS , as well as in the Public Sector.
The Association of Public Accountants of the Valle del Cauca (ADECONTA) invited renowned expert speakers at national and international level who with a practical approach dealt with tax issues and their effects on IFRS in the field of substance and procedural, IFRS in the public sector, in the solidarity sector, in the field of education and in the technological language to be used.
The Forum of Public Accountants was aimed at professionals in this field, tax reviewers, auditors, economists, accounting technicians, entrepreneurs, business administrators, deans, teachers, students and all people related to these topics.
Dr. Julio Cesar Acuña, Director General of the Central Board of Accountants, presented his presentation on the Social Responsibility of the Public Accountant, the most frequently sanctioned offences, the objectives, principles and functions of the Fiscal Review and the challenges of the profession.
